  • "Where do I start? From the moment we laid eyes on this place on a hill, that was surrounded with incredible views as far the eye can see we knew we were in for a treat. Our studio was the perfect location for a cozy, serene base camp for our adventures! From the comfortable bed, we watched the boats in Cruz Bay do their thing. The beautiful sunrises that shined through the window acted as our alarm. The snorkeling was top-notch and many banging places to eat nearby. Little slice of heaven on earth!"

  • "We had the best time in St John and it was largely thanks to the amenities and location this studio provided. We traveled with a 5 month old so amenities were important to us. Kitchenette was equipped with everything you could possibly need for easy food prep. Amanda was kind enough to arrange a pack and play for our baby to sleep on so we didn’t need to transport one to the island. The view from the shared balcony was one to remember. Some of the best sunsets on this island can be enjoyed right from this balcony. The place met all our expectations and the communication with Amanda couldn’t have been better. I recommend renting a car as the climb to reach the house is sure to leave you out of gas! Still, some of the best restaurants on the island were just steps away from the apartment!"

  • "This is a great spot; it’s safe, comfortable, and private. It is within walking distance to the ferry dock, Dolphin and Starfish market, and a bunch of restaurants. It is the perfect spot for a couples getaway. Amanda was super quick to respond to our inquiries, and the Welcome Book she provided gave us some insider information about the best spots on the island. She provided everything we needed - bath/beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and even some beach hats. We will definitely consider staying here if we come to St. John again!"

  • "Amanda’s place was lovely and exactly as described. It was super clean and comfortable; checking in and out went very smoothly. We drank coffee every morning on our deck overlooking Cruz Bay and watched the hummingbirds sipping on the flowers a few feet away. We love to hike and saved money by foregoing a rental car our first weekend and hiking 30-45 minutes to explore beaches on the other side of town. We took our snorkeling gear and lunch with us. The hills here are no joke though, make sure you’re up for a workout if you choose to do this! We loved being able to come back and shower, then walk to town for dinner and drinks. This place lovely and a great value; we’re already talking about coming back!"

  • "We loved our stay. Great views of Cruz Bay from our balcony. Comfortable and clean. All the essentials plus snorkel and masks for two, beach chairs, and a backpack cooler. Really well laid out, comfortable and a short walk from the pier (albeit up a big hill). About that hill, if you’re in good shape and traveling light, it isn’t too bad. Good way to work off the cheeseburger from Tap & Still at the bottom. But the best part of this rental are the hosts and their excellent communications, digital brochure, and spot on recommendations. Renting the dinghy from wharfside watersports, which was in their suggested to-do’s, was a highlight and enabled us to boat right up to Scott Beach and swim with the turtles and a manta ray."

  • "Thanks Amanda and Alan for hosting us at your Cruz Bay apartment! The location was just perfect for our first visit to Saint John and USVI. For anyone seeking a comfortable location in Cruz Bay but not wanting to stay at a resort, this is a great option! The apartment is located within walking distance of everything in town, but is located in a quiet neighborhood that has virtually no tourist traffic. We felt like we got a better sense of day-to-day life in Saint John because we got to start and end each day greeting our neighbors. The apartment was a perfect size for a couple, and well stocked with a full kitchen, so we could cook breakfast and prep lunches for the road. The garden deck is a perfect place to take in the locale at night. Be forewarned that the hill leading to the apartment is steep in every direction! We're gluttons for punishment, so we dragged our luggage up and down the hill, but a taxi is a consideration. Otherwise, it was easy to justify dessert with dinner!"

  • "Amazing views of Cruz Bay! Everything in the listing was accurately described and provided with even some extras including an iron and steamer. We were able to walk to taxis at Cruz Bay easily within 8 minutes to several beaches and use the snorkeling masks. It is located near many restaurants and bars which was really nice. We did not rent a car because we knew we could plan for taxis to take us to the beaches we wanted and we’re fine walking everywhere. We walked to the trailhead of Lind Point Trail in Cruz Bay to Solomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach from there and hiked back. Take a towel and wear tennis shoes. (Tip: We also found out you can take the public bus VITRAN to the East End at Salt Pond Bay and back for only $1 each way which was so convenient. We made a day trip to the East End and hiked to Rams Head Trail Peak. Highly recommend! Buses usually come through every two hours but you can look up the schedule.) Overall great place and location! Definitely recommend staying here!"
